Brooklyn Fire Proof and its affiliates own and operate an on-premises studio management facility with over 150,000 sq ft of individual, private workspaces housed in a complex buildings sited in Bushwick Brooklyn, minutes from Manhattan.
Brooklyn Fire Proof expanded into East Williamsburg in 2005 with the intention of building a kind, creative environment meant to inspire and promote the artistic endeavors of professionals, micro-manufacturers, and entrepreneurs. The work spaces are located in 24-hour secure, quiet, non-residential buildings and feature eco-friendly heating, high original tin ceilings, wood floors, large windows and great natural light. Each floor has freight elevator access and bathrooms cleaned regularly. Sizes range from 300 to 8,000 sq ft. Shares are encouraged and spaces can be built to suit. BFP is conveniently located; a few seconds walk from the L train subway, galleries, restaurants, coffee shops and grocery. See a map of the local area.
The workspaces are part of a larger community that includes the Nut Roaster, a full service film and television production soundstage; a café & bar; and new home for Brooklyn Fire Proof art gallery. Future plans include a non-profit nurturing arts and the involvement of neighborhood youth in particular.
